Lowndes Grove was built in 1786 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The property spans 14 acres of Ashley River waterfront in Charleston, South Carolina. The main house is furnished in period, with a bridal suite on the second floor.

Event spaces
The lawn faces the Ashley River and serves as the primary ceremony and outdoor reception space. The river provides the backdrop to the west, and in the late afternoon the light comes across the water low and warm. Indoors, the main house offers formal parlours and dining rooms across two floors, alongside a covered piazza and outdoor event space under a permanent tent structure.
